High-resolution sensor & advanced autofocus

The new 40.2 MP back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor paired with the powerful X-Processor 5 delivers the highest image quality ever in an X100 camera. A revised pixel structure allows the sensor to gather more light, giving a base ISO of 125. Exposure control is more precise, and the fastest electronic shutter speed has been extended from 1/32,000s to an incredible 1/180,000s – perfect for shooting wide open in bright conditions.

Fixed 23mm f/2 lens

Just like its predecessor, the X100VI uses a fixed 23mm f/2 lens (35mm full-frame equivalent) with a built-in four-stop ND filter and leaf shutter. The optical design includes two aspherical elements to deliver high resolution across the frame while keeping distortion under control.

20 Film Simulations – including REALA ACE

The X100VI offers 20 of FUJIFILM’s popular Film Simulation modes, including the new REALA ACE, which delivers natural colour reproduction with rich tonal gradation, suitable for a wide variety of subjects and scenes. Built on FUJIFILM’s 90+ years of film heritage, these profiles are a key part of the X100 system’s appeal. The camera also supports the HEIF format, providing 10-bit image quality in files up to 30% smaller than JPEG, allowing you to get high-quality, “ready to share” images straight out of camera.

Powerful processing & subject-detection AF

The X-Processor 5 offers double the processing speed of the previous generation and introduces advanced subject-recognition AF driven by deep learning AI. The camera can automatically detect and track faces, eyes, animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes and trains with impressive reliability, keeping focus locked on your subject in challenging situations.

Built-in stabilisation & 6K video

For the first time in the X100 line, the X100VI features in-body image stabilisation. The 5-axis IBIS unit offers up to 6 stops of compensation, improving low-light performance and making hand-held video and stills shooting much more stable without a noticeable increase in size or weight.

The high-resolution sensor and new processor enable internal 4:2:2 10-bit recording in 6K/30p and 4K/60p, with support for H.264 and H.265 codecs. A 4K HQ mode uses 6K oversampling to deliver very detailed 4K footage, and Full HD high-speed recording is available up to 240p for smooth slow-motion.

Advanced hybrid viewfinder

Like previous X100 models, the X100VI features FUJIFILM’s unique hybrid viewfinder. You can switch between an optical viewfinder (OVF) – offering a real-time, lag-free view with a parallax-corrected frame covering 95% of the final image – and a 3.69M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF) that shows precise exposure and colour as you shoot. The EVF’s high resolution, brightness and contrast give a clear view of both shadows and highlights.
